X-RAY
GET AN “X-PERT” DIAGNOSIS
Of the many technologies Mid-Michigan Radiology Associates utilizes at our facilities, x-rays are among the most well-known and helpful in the field of radiology, and can be used in diagnosing vascular disease, in many capacities.
MULTIPLE OPTIONS
Bone X-Ray (Radiography) - In order to produce photos of the affected bone in the body, a small portion of the ionizing radiation is utilized to assess quickly and simply assess joint dislocation or fractured bones. Though this option requires virtually no preparation by the patient, it is important to inform your physician if there’s a possibility of pregnancy, as well as do not wear jewelry and wear comfortable clothing.
Chest X-Ray (Radiography) - In a similar process to bone and chest x-rays, helps to obtain photos of an affected region in the chest, allowing access to visibility of the heart, lungs, and bones within the area. The chest x-ray can help locate and diagnose conditions such as emphysema, pneumonia, lung cancer, and various heart problems. All other preparatory requirements for a chest x-ray are the same as a bone x-ray.
Kidney X-Ray - A kidney x-ray is just like it sounds: A method of diagnosing internal issues of the kidneys, bladder, and ureters. Otherwise known as an intravenous pyelogram (IVP), an x-ray of this region helps to diagnose kidney stones, tumors, and an enlarged prostate.
