DIALYSIS GRAFTS AND FISTULA MAINTENANCE

Arterial Venous Fistula
A fistulogram is a study of the dialysis access graft or fistula looking for narrowing which can be treated by angioplasty.
Thrombectomy is the removal of clot from a graft or fistula performed with a rotary device or by a vortex catheter using saline. Most often there is an underlying narrowing or stenosis which requires further treatment with angioplasty and sometimes stent placement.
